When creating Duolingo assets for marketing materials, we have just a few guidelines we'd like you to follow. These are the greatest hits of Duolingo's visual brand.

Duo is our mascot and the most recognizable element of our brand. People love him. That's why he often gets a starring role in our marketing and advertising materials. Use him to express excitement for Duolingo, convey a range of emotions, or commemorate a special occasion (like Valentine's Day).

We only use Duo on select secondary background colors because his vibrant green can easily vibrate and look harsh against other colors.


Cast of charactersanchor

These characters are the stars of our app. They're quickly becoming Duolingo ambassadors in marketing and advertising, demonstrating in their diversity that everyone can Duolingo. Use them all at once, in pairs, or one at a time.

Posing a character adds personality and quirk to their design and ultimately tells more of their story. Try not to use characters in a static, expressionless state, which could make them feel lifeless.
